WORDS WORDS WORDS

HOW DO I KNOW WHAT WORDS TO USE WHILE TAPPING?

I get asked this with most every client or group I TAP with.

Let me share with you a few ways to help make this easier.

1) Just TELL THE TRUTH!

That is an easy way to get to the words. The words are simply to help us FOCUS on the issue/experience and emotion we are clearing. Remember we are clearing negative emotions so, that means you want to use an emotion word! Maybe you can feel that emotion somewhere in your body. Just name it.

SET UP PHRASE …

Even though I have this anxiety in my stomach I love and accept myself.

REMINDER PHRASE from point to point saying …

This anxiety in my stomach.

2) PRETEND YOU ARE TELLING A FRIEND

I suggest to clients to pretend you are calling your friend and telling them the whoooooole story! Give it all the detail and UMPH that you do when you tell that story to another. You just gotta TAP while doing it, then you are releasing that negativity from your body and mind. You will feel the relief. I promise.

3) NO WORDS TAPPING

There are times we are in such a snit – there seems to be too many things to TAP out. I know there are times I have NOT TAPPED for this reason. Where do I start? UGH! I LOVE NO WORDS TAPPING to get started. Just start TAPPING from point to point while thinking NOT SPEAKING. After a round or two because I am a bit calmer, I usually get some clarity as to what to start TAPPING OUT. Just try it.

Remember TAPPING is a very easy and forgiving technique to use.

If you are so concerned with getting it perfect – well, there is a TAPPABLE issue for you.

Just start where you are!

Even though I don’t believe this can work…

Even though I don’t believe this can work for me…

Even though I don’t know where to start…

Even though I am sooooo angry, frustrated, sad, etc, …

Just talk about what is going on while you are TAPPING!

You are probably thinking about it anyway.

So, just TAP! ;-)
