PSYCHE into IT with TAPPING


How many times have you had either…

1) a TO DO list with so much on it that you find yourself being overwhelmed to the point that you are not getting stuff done? or

2) a job/chore you are not getting done because you are just “not feeling it”, and not even sure why you are procrastinating?

TAPPING to the rescue AGAIN! I have had this exact experience and several times have used this technique to get me moving OUT THE DOOR and on my way! A few minutes of TAPPING and before I know it, breathing deeper, feeling energized, purse on my shoulder, keys in hand, headed out the door, feeling pretty good about myself! FEELING PSYCHED! That is such a great FEELING.

When you become aware that there is lots to get done and you are spinning your wheels, feeling resistance, maybe even dread … START WHERE YOU ARE!

Here is a TAP SCRIPT to get you going.

SET UP STATEMENT

Karate Chop (KC)

Even though I don’t feel like doing this stuff on my list

(name what you are putting off, NOT wanting to do)

I love and accept myself anyway. (3x’s)

Now the REMINDER PHRASE as we go point to point.

Eye Brow (EB) I don’t feel like doing this stuff on my list.

Side Eye (SE) I reallllly don’t feel like doing this stuff on my list.

Under Eye (UE) I don’t feel like doing this stuff on my list.

Under Nose (UN) I don’t feel like doing this stuff on my list.

Chin (CH) same as Under Mouth (UM) I’m just not motivated to do it.

Collar Bone (CB) I am just NOT feeling like doing it.

Under Arm (UA) I don’t feel like doing this stuff on my list.

Top of Head (ToH) I wish I felt motivated to get this stuff done.

TAKE A NICE BIG BREATH – do the above round above 2-3 times.

Speak and TAP slowly. Take your time with it. Change the words to fit your own specific circumstance or just use what I have written, it will still work.

FINAL ROUND

(EB) Maybe I could just go do a couple things.

(SE) Just getting out the door would be progress.

(UE) Maybe I could just get headed out.

(UN) Maybe I could get a few things done.

(CH) I always feel better when I get a few things done.

(CB) and even if I don’t .. that’s ok!

(UA) ! I can still CHOOSE to love and accept myself anyway.

(ToH) I love feeling PSYCHED and crossing stuff off my list!

Just try it – you got nothing to lose but the stuff off your list!
